J.F. Brennan Company (Brennan) formally announces their Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) certified joint venture with Ahtna Marine & Construction Company, LLC (AMCC). Publicly titled the Ahtna – J.F. Brennan JV, the partnership establishes a mentor protégé relationship between Brennan and Alaska Native Corporation subsidiary AMCC.

Together, Brennan and AMCC will bid and execute specific environmental dredging and dam construction projects throughout the United States that may have otherwise been out of reach.

“Our joint venture combines Brennan’s experience along the inland waterways and AMCC’s reputable SBA 8(a) certified status to better serve clients like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers small business programs,” said Brennan VP of Business Development Mark Binsfeld.

“We are honored to act as a mentor to AMCC and will use this partnership to contribute to their mission of creating responsible economic growth for future generations of Ahtna people,” Binsfeld concluded.

Both companies center operations around safety, quality, and strong environmental management. Those aligned intrinsic values allowed the partnership to take shape and lead to the formalization of a joint venture agreement.

AMCC President Craig O’Rourke said, “The JV combines two highly experienced and capable companies, each with its own considerable resources and expertise.
