Erosion Control and Scour Protection

inset pic3 erosionWhen it comes to remediating scour and erosion problems, Brennan offers many robust, long-lasting options. Whether the problem exists along an embankment or underneath the water along a bridge pier, Brennan can provide the solution.

Brennan has experience remediating erosion and scour using the following methods:

  • Vinyl Sheet Piling

    • Vinyl sheet piling offers an alternative to underwater concrete forming.  Its high density plastic composition allows for a long-lasting protective barrier between the water and the structure.  – Learn More
  • Rip Rap and Geotextile

    • This is the traditional method of erosion control for the shorelines of rivers, lakes, and streams. Brennan can place rock from the shoreline or bring it by barge and place it from a floating marine plant.
  • Fabriform® Concrete System Installation

    • This system is one of the most effective in articulated block revetments. Brennan crew members have the experience to install a long-lasting, effective Fabriform® solution to scour and mediate erosion along any waterway. This matting can be installed both underwater and above the waterline.
  • Concrete Grout Bags

    • Concrete grout bags are very effective solutions to both underwater and above-water bank and structure reinforcements. These are often used on bridge piers, dam structures, cofferdam structures, and retaining walls to increase their strength and longevity.
