Often it is thought that a successful concrete repair must be done in the dry; however, this is not always the case. Brennan can present several methods of underwater concrete placement that best fits each project. We specialize in underwater repairs of bridge piers without the need for dewatering.
Methods often used include:
- Precast Concrete
- Preplaced Aggregate Concrete (PAC)
- Tremied Concrete
Pressure Grouting
Each method has been used to successfully repair and replace deteriorated concrete underwater. Through the use of several types of formwork, J.F. Brennan Company has successfully repaired ice-damaged, degraded, eroded, and broken concrete hidden below the surface of the water.
