Brennan has self-performed and subcontracted water treatment operations in the past, but on larger projects we partner with industry water treatment leaders to achieve maximum quality in treated water. On any environmental dredge project, water is most often returned to the source in which it came. In order to discharge this water, strict government regulations are in place to ensure that the newly cleaned water body is not re-contaminated. The process of water treatment separates not only the very fine particles left from slurry dewatering, but the organics and trace contaminants left behind. Depending on the size of the project and type of contamination, this final treatment process can consist of a large water treatment plant or a smaller portable unit.
We work closely with our industry partners in ensuring the entire system from the dredge to the water treatment plant is one seamless transition that combines state-of-the-art equipment with the most experienced professionals in the industry.
