Erosion and Scour Control - Fabric Form System

The Fabric Forming System for erosion protection and scour control was introduced in the Mid- 1960s as an alternative to the placement of rip rap.  While rip rap is normally placed with heavy cranes and backhoes on barges, Fabric Form mats and bags can be installed with minimal equipment. 

The Fabric Form System includes double layered nylon Mats, Bags and Jackets which are filled in place by pumping grout

material into fabric forms.  The mats, bags and jackets can be customized to meet site specific conditions.
